NSF’s “Discoveries”
The National Science Foundation’s “Discoveries” web page features a number of articles on scientific discoveries and advancements that have implications for the future.

Expanded government subsidies for research and development would be one way to finance conditions helpful to scientific discoveries. Additionally, public/private partnerships in the realm of “Discoveries” would be another way to foster the development of new (including Green)technologies that would could be instrumental for job creation, too. However, the short-term and small individual gains of tax-cuts works against the possibilities for discoveries when so little funding is provided when compared to the trillion plus dollars being spent on war and destruction over the past decade.
